Tropicsafe will participate in the Galicia Innovation Days through a workshop in which the knowledge generated during the project will be shared. TROPICSAFE participation will take place online on October 27 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., but there will be discussion panels, exhibitions of success stories, workshops, and meetings of various kinds during 4 days, from 25 to 28 October. Each day will focus on a different thematic area.
This international event is organised by FEUGA and the Xunta de Galicia’s Department of Education, Culture and Universities. Under the title Towards Horizon Europe, it aims to explore future collaboration projects between universities and companies within the Horizon Europe program.
Within the TROPICSAFE workshop, there will be three thematic blocks. Each of them will feature one of the crops and associated diseases that are studied in the project, and all of them will be attended by the project coordinator, Assunta Bertaccini.
The first block will focus on the ‘Huanglongbing’ of citrus, with interventions by expert international researchers such as Alejandro Tena, Raphael Morillon, and Youri Uneau. The second block will talk about the lethal yellowing of coconut trees with Carlos Oropeza, Ndede Yankey, and Wayne Myrie. Finally, the grapevine yellows disease will be discussed with Nicola Fiore, Elisa Angelini, and Nicoletta Contaldo.
After each block, there will be a few minutes to ask questions to the experts or to exchange comments.
From here, we encourage you to sign up and take advantage of all the knowledge that will be shared these days. See you all there!
