TROPICSAFE coordinator, Assunta Bertaccini from UNIBO, travelled to Jamaica in October 2017 to work with Jamaican partners, check how the project is developing and what progresses could be made.
During her visit, she offered a couple of interviews with Jamaican radios, where she introduced TROPICSAFE, its objectives and how it is working to improve the quality and safety of agricultural products (coconuts, citrus and grapevines).She was accompanied by Mr. Christopher Gentles, Chairman of the Coconut Industry Board, (TROPICSAFE partner from Jamaica) and Dr. Wayne Myrie, Plant Pathologist from the Research Department of the Coconut Industry.
