Main role: IVIA will lead the development of Integrate Pest Management (IPM) strategies in TROPICSAFE. IVIA is a well-known research centre devoted to the improvement of citrus IPM. It will also participate in obtaining updated data on Huanglongbing (HLB), a lethal disease of citrus, and its vectors, developing rapid and reliable detection methods for the disease.
Description: Located within the core area of citrus production in the Mediterranean Basin, the aim of the Instituto Valenciano de Investigaciones Agrarias (IVIA) is to contribute to the development of a sustainable agricultural activity by generating knowledge that responds to technical, social and economic demands, through applied and excellent research.
